To become a ResponsibleAg-credentialed auditor, candidates must complete or provide the following:

• ResponsibleAg Training Course
• Basic background check
  • In fulfilling the duties of a ResponsibleAg auditor, trust and credibility is required due to the potential exposure a facility faces in the process of undergoing an assessment. ResponsibleAg confirms your identity and performs a background check for history of any criminal or felony activity on each prospective auditor. There is no charge to the prospective auditor for this service.
• Proof of CVI Training
• Proof of insurance in the form of a current standard certificate of insurance, including:
  • Workers’ Compensation: For any auditor or auditor’s employer that is required by their state to furnish workers’ compensation insurance, proof of coverage must be provided in the form of a current standard certification of insurance. If workers’ compensation insurance is not required or not applicable, candidates must provide a letter stating such.
  • General Liability: For any auditor or auditor’s employer, proof of current general liability insurance coverage must be provided in the form of a current standard certification of insurance indicating limits of at least $1 million per occurrence/$2 million annual aggregate.
  • Professional Liability: For any auditor or auditor’s employer, proof of current professional liability insurance coverage must be provided in the form of a current standard certification of insurance indicating limits of at least $1 million per claim.
• A written terms and conditions agreement, including:
  • Auditor ethics
  • Standards of Conduct
  • Privacy and Confidentiality
  • Maintenance and access to records
  • Turnaround times and deadlines
